These custom stainless steel shoulder bolts were manufactured in 18-8 stainless steel material for our drone manufacturing customer. M3 X 0.5MM thread was rolled with a thread relief machined below the 4MM X 5MM shoulder. A 2MM hex drive was broached at the head and a precision machined profile was incorporated on the head to meet drawing requirements.

We provided our gun manufacturing customer these custom torx drive socket head bolts per print using 416 stainless steel material heat treated to HRC 36-44. Approximately 13.8MM of 1/4-28 2A thread was rolled on both the 34.31MM and 43.61MM overall length version we had manufactured and the unthreaded shoulder diameter was set to 6.35MM +.00/-.22MM. The head profile and countersink was customized to our customer’s specifications.

These custom tapered shoulder socket head bolts were manufactured using 4140 alloy steel material with 28-32 HRC hardness and zinc clear finish. The shoulder diameter tapers form 0.78″ down to 0.75″ and the head diameter was set to 1.00 +/-.015″. Underneath the shoulder approximately .55″ of 3/8-24 2A thread was rolled with thread relief allowance of roughly .085″.

These custom A286 socket head captive shoulder screws were manufactured domestically with full certs and FAIR using DFARS compliant A286 material hardened to minimum ultimate tensile strength of 1100 MPA. The captive shoulder diameter was set to 1.64mm +0/-.05, 2-56 thread length at 3.78″, and overall length under the head at 9.04mm +0/-0.76. Parts were finished with Passivation per AMS2700, Method 1, Type 2, Class 4.

These custom stainless steel torx drive knurled shoulder screws were manufactured using 304 stainless steel material with factory passivated finish. The shoulder measured 2.29-2.48MM X 19.05 +/- .12MM. 2-56 UNC 2A thread was incorporated at a length of 5.56 +0/-.5MM. A T8 drive was cold formed and the outside of the head aggressively knurled for optimal finger grip. A 180 degree nylon thread lock patch was applied over the threads to complete the production process.

These custom stainless steel socket shoulder bolts were manufactured using 18-8 stainless steel material with factory passivation finish. The head was fully cold formed, which took multiple tooling iterations to get just right. 1/4-20 2A thread was rolled at a length of .575″ underneath the .305-.311″ diameter shoulder. A .190″ across the flats hex socket drive was incorporated at a depth of .120″ min. Certs were made available to our customer’s specifications.

These custom 17-4 stainless steel shoulder screws were manufactured using DFARS compliant material for our defense customer, with MIL-DTL-13924D black oxide finish and heat treat to condition 1025. M3 X 0.50 thread was incorporated at a length of 4.06MM and the shoulder measured 3MM in diameter by 24.5MM. The head incorporated an aggressive diamond knurl and a broached 6-lobe drive. Full certs with a FAIR were provided with the parts.

These custom metric shoulder bolts were manufactured using 304 stainless steel material with the head cold formed and shoulder machined to a diameter of 11.965-11.938mm by 80mm in length, with 16mm of M10 X 1.5 6g thread after the relief. We supplied these custom 12 point flange bolts to our automotive customer at 5,000 pieces per size, with size ranging from 12.6MM shoulder diameter X 1.70″ to 12.6MM shoulder diameter X 3.2″. 4140 alloy steel material was used for the production with heat treatment to reach 39-45HRC hardness. Black oxide finish was the last step in the production process. 3/8-16 internal thread was tapped on all size configurations to reach a minimum of 18MM in full thread depth.

We had approximately 120,000 pieces of these custom shoulder bolts manufactured domestically in the USA for our gun manufacturing customer. The shoulder measured .185 X 1/2 and 8-32 thread was rolled. To save on cost we incorporated a convex relief underneath the head in leu of a machined relief, allowing us to complete the entire head portion with cold heading. The shoulder was centerless ground to a +/-.001 diameter tolerance and we also made sure to meet the .127/.125 across flats requirement on the 1/8 hex socket drive, which was a critical feature for optimal key engagement. Full certs were provided with the parts.
